Last Saturday, Maya, Mackenzie, and our friends the Grimes family did the
Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure (click here if you want to make a donation...). (It is a fund raiser for Breast Cancer research, etc.) We did the family 1 mile walk. We had a nice time together along with the 14,000 other people there, too! Baby boy Grimes slept through the whole thing! Maya had a blast and even ran the "Kids 50 Yard Dash"! Mackenzie was really crabby.... I think she didn't like the windy weather.

Here Maya is re-enacting her dash (which she re-enacted about 50 times)... and yes, that's a giant strawberry in the background thanks to a Baby Einstein video! And, no - I didn't get any pictures of the real dash... too busy with Mackenzie in the carrier (cuz she was crying) and chasing/finding Maya at the finish line (who had NO PROBLEM running away from mommy in a huge bunch of kids!)

Maya it looks like you ran sooooo fast! Gradma Dawson is very proud of you. In case you don't know what you did helps so many people including your Aunt Char. Keep up the good work!!!!
